As per tradition, it was Stampace-Marina – with 150 youngsters from Cagliari’s Manno and Spano secondary schools – that opened the new edition of the Coppa Quartieri.

The event carried out for several years now by the Carlo Enrico Giulini Foundation and by Cagliari Calcio (as part of the activities promoted by the ethical manifesto BeAsOne), in partnership with USR Sardegna, A.S.D. Marabadminton, MSP Sardegna and Sport e Salute, and with the contribution of Fondazione di Sardegna, has seen this year’s valuable collaboration with the Garante dell’Infanzia e dell’Adolescenza della Regione Sardegna. The project is accompanied by the slogan “I Diritti dei Minori per i Diritti di Tutti”.

Over 730 enrolled first to third grade students and 7 municipalities involved: Cagliari, Assemini, Elmas, Maracalagonis, Quartu Sant’Elena, Sestu and Sinnai. A great success, testifying to the desire to seek moments of friendship and ‘healthy’ sport. Badminton, basketball, football, volleyball and running competitions will take place between the second half of October and the month of November 2023. The final event, as usual at the Unipol Domus, will be organised close to the International Day for the Rights of the Child and Adolescent. In addition to the sports part, the new edition of the project will feature a seminar aimed at parents, sports operators, teachers, etc., entitled ‘Parents and Children: Journey into the World of Crisis’.

The meetings – free of charge – will be held at the Civic Theatre of the Municipality of Sinnai on 27 October, 9 and 16 November, from 6.30 p.m., and will be conducted respectively by Lorenzo Braina, Sister Silvia Carboni and Elisabetta Boeddu.
